A petition opposing plans for a hot food take-away at Four Lane Ends has been handed in to the Council’s Planning Department by Cllrs Wendy Taylor & Sharon Bailey. The majority of residents of Benton Lodge Avenue & Benton Road are strongly opposed to the plans, which could lead to increased litter, noise & traffic, cause unpleasant odours & increase the risk of vermin. Sharon & Wendy have asked the Council’s legal department to check a covenant on the property, which states that the shop cannot be used to sell fried fish. We will let residents know the outcome.
